FAQ

Before you ask

Do I need a card for Starter?

No. Starter is free forever — no credit card, no trial clock, nothing expiring. Three tire price searches a day and every guide we've written. A lot of people never upgrade. That's fine.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, from account settings, two clicks. You keep paid features until the end of the billing period, then you're back on Starter. No retention call, no "are you sure" maze.

What happens to my alerts if I downgrade?

They pause — we don't delete them. Drop from Power Saver to Saver and you pick which 5 stay active. Drop to Starter and all alerts pause but stay saved, so if you come back before your next tire purchase, they switch right back on.

Will I actually save money?

We can't promise a number — tire discounts vary by model, retailer, and zip code. What we can say: members who bought through an alert last year saved an average of $487 per set of four versus the price on the day they set the alert. Some saved less. Timing matters.

Do you sell tires?

No. AmericaTire compares prices across retailers; you buy directly from whoever has the best deal. Subscriptions are our only revenue — no retailer pays for ranking. More on the FAQ page.
